Zobuxa is a once-a-day, broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is often prescribed by veterinarians to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria in companion animals.
Possible Side Effects
In rare instances, use of this product in cats has been associated with Retinal Toxicity. Dosage should not exceed 5 mg/kg of body weight once daily in cats. Enrofloxacin is contraindicated in dogs and cats known to be hypersensitive to quinolones.

Precautions
For use in animals only. In rare instances, use of this product in cats has been associated with retinal toxicity. Do not exceed 5 mg/kg of body weight per day in cats. Quinolone-class drugs should be used with caution in animals with known or suspected Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders. In such animals, quinolones have, in rare instances, been associated with CNS stimulation whihc may lead to convulsive seizures. Quinolone-class drugs have been associated with cartilage erosions in weight-bearing joings and other forms of arthropathy in immature animals of various species. The use of fluoroquinolones in cats has been reported to adversely effect the retina. Such products should be used with caution in cats.

Recommended Dosage
Dogs: Administer orally, allowing for 5-20 mg/kg (2.27 to 9.07 mg/lb) of body weight. The dose may be given either as a single daily dose or divided into two equal daily doses, administered at 12-hour intervals. Follow instructions exactly as given, as dose selections will be based on clinical experience, severity, and the specific pathogen.
Cats: Administer orally, allowing for 5 mg/kg (2.27 mg/lb) of body weight. The dose may be given either as a single daily dose or divided into two equal daily doses, administered at 12-hour intervals. Continue dose for at least 2-3 days after symptoms stop, but for no more than 30 days.
