FAQ
How does Onsior work?
Onsior is a coxib NSAID that is rapidly absorbed, persists at the site of inflammation and is rapidly cleared from the bloodstream.
Is Onsior safe?
Onsior has been shown to be well-tolerated when administered at a dose of 2 mg/kg (injection and tablets) to dogs, and at a dose of 2 mg/kg (injection) and 1 mg/kg (tablets) to cats for up to a maximum of 3 days.
Is Onsior effective?
Onsior has been shown to be effective at controlling the postoperative pain and inflammation associated with soft-tissue surgery in dogs greater than 5.5 lbs and younger than 4 months of age, and orthopedic surgery, ovariohysterectomy and castration in cats greater than 5.5 lbs and younger than 4 months of age, for up to a maximum of 3 days.
